We have an exciting opportunity for an individual skilled in costume design and making, using techniques including but not limited to, pattern cutting, garment construction, finishing and shaping to join our Technical and Simulation Resources team. This role will provide support at the High Wycombe campus and our facilities at Pinewood studios. The purpose of the role is to transfer the skillset and knowledge required for the costume industry via practical demonstrations, and student support, using safe working procedures at all times.
You must have excellent practical knowledge and experience and be able to supervise student activity and provide assistance including demonstrating techniques utilising a variety of materials. You will also be responsible for workshop Health and Safety, maintaining a stock of consumables and supplies and equipment maintenance. A good understanding of pattern cutting, and garment construction is essential. Experience of leading and delivering practical workshops would be desirable.
