The Digital Communications Manager is responsible for leading the development, management and continuous enhancement of digital communications at Bournemouth University including the website and oversight of all staff, student and public-facing channels. Managing a digital design & UX, marketing and content function, this pivotal role creates and implements the university’s digital content strategy, leading a team to develop user-driven content, functionality and digital solutions that best deliver against our organisational and marketing objectives.

We’re at exciting time in our digital journey with BU embarking on website re-platform and rebuild, with a major project due to commence in mid-2024.  We’re also transforming our internal communications channels, making a greater use of the suite of tools in the Microsoft Suite. You will act as the primary interface with colleagues in IT Services as we continuously evolve our Digital Vision and associated technology stack, in these major projects, others that follow, and continuous improvement initiatives.

With our users at the heart of your thinking and decision-making, you will be a brand champion, bringing the BU digital experience to life while ensuring robust governance, compliance and security policies are in place.
