Applications are invited for the Research Pre-Award manager post, based in Research Operations within Research & Innovation, and reports directly to the Head of Pre-Award. This is an exciting opportunity to join an established team who play a critical role in supporting the University’s research ambitions, ensuring the effective and efficient submission of quality research applications and the set-up of new research awards. Working closely with the Head of Pre-Award, you will manage the team to ensure effective service delivery and, in close partnership with Faculty research support teams, develop and implement a programme of continuous improvement.
Key to the success of this role will be the ability to develop and maintain effective business partnerships with key stakeholders across professional services teams as well as within Schools and Faculties. As part of the role, you will develop a network within and outside the University, to keep abreast of sector changes and develop best practice. You will continually strive to understand and respond to user experience and customer feedback, embedding a culture of continuous improvement within the team. The post is offered on a permanent, full time (36.25 hours per week) contract. Applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 21.75 hours per week). Arrangements for job share may be considered.
