We are recruiting a Governance and Quality Assurance Senior Coordinator who can join the Governance team. This new team within the BioResource is leading and implementing quality standards. To succeed in this role, you will need a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the UK regulatory requirements surrounding research, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation, UK Policy Framework for Health and Social Care Research and the Human Tissue Act.

About the job:

The role will be a senior member of the new Governance and Quality Assurance team within the BioResource

The role will plan and organise the monitoring of Tissue Collection Centres and Research Sites within the BioResource.

The role holder will also advise teams to develop Policies and Standard Operating Procedures to ensure regulatory compliance is upheld. The role will also coordinate the reporting process for non-compliances and incidents and advise teams to implement remedial processes where needed. 

About you: 

Ideally you will have:

  •  Experience of writing and reviewing Policies and/or Standard Operating Procedures
  •  Experience of recruiting to research studies/clinical trials, including query resolution and management of incidents
  •  Experience of audit and monitoring

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 30 November 2024 in the first instance. NIHR BioResource is funded by the National Institute for Health & Care Research (NIHR) on a 5-year funding cycle. It was announced last year that NIHR BioResource will receive new funding over the next 5 years.
