Applications are invited for the post of Placements, Partnership and Engagement Manager with Midlands4Cities, an Arts and Humanities Research Council funded (AHRC) consortium of eight Midlands Universities supporting up to five hundred PhD researchers across the breadth of arts and humanities research.
The successful candidate will join a small team working with PhD researchers and supervisors across the eight universities in the consortium together with regional and national organisations in the creative and cultural industries. The purpose of the role is working with researchers and partner organisations to identify placement opportunities which support researcher professional development and partnership working.
The role holder will be expected to have excellent placement management and project monitoring skills to deliver placement opportunities which enhance student research. The successful candidate will be expected to take an active part in promoting the outcomes of placement activity and partnership working via a portfolio of case studies and reports. Along with significant organisational experience with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail applicants should be flexible, innovative and have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. They should be able to work independently while connecting to the work and delivery of the wider Doctoral Training Partnership.
This role is fixed term for 12 months until 31 December 2024. Hours of work are full time (36.25 hours per week). Job share arrangements may be considered.
