The University's Research and Innovation Services (RIS} forms a key component in the delivery of the University of Dundee strategy, and its associated ambitions for growing its research and enterprise portfolio. RIS is a central function, supporting, enabling, and promoting all aspects of research, impact, economic development, commercialisation and innovation across our academic community and external stakeholders. Our goal is informing and driving the delivery of our enabling-strategies for "Research with Impact" and "Enterprise & Engagement", contributing to grow our excellence in research, innovation, and impact regionally, nationally, and globally.
The RIS-Research team is expanding, and we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced researcher development, CIPD or Learning and Development professional to progress in their career and work with RIS colleagues to embed Researcher Development into the directorate. As the Researcher Development Manager, you will provide specialist professional expertise to manage and drive the successful transition and growth of researcher development activity within RIS. You will lead and manage the strategic development, delivery and continual improvement of professional development for all researchers in the University, ensuring alignment with internal strategy and external commitments to funders and the Research Concordats.
The postholder will work with the Head of the new Research Culture & Environment team, and key units such as the Doctoral Academy and Talent & Development to exploit synergies between the Research Culture & Environment and Researcher Development agendas to create a positive research environment for researchers and for those who support and manage them.
