We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, committed and experienced Early Years professional to lead our Early Years Initial Teacher Training provision leading to Early Years Teacher Status. Working closely with the Head of Initial Teacher Education, you will have a strategic role in developing a shared vision for our ITE Partnership and lead the associated operational administration, curriculum development, and quality management and enhancement of the EYITT graduate employment course.
You will have a passion for and commitment to the development of teachers in the early years sector and will use your teaching and leadership experience to guide and support trainees to become excellent practitioners. The ability to liaise with our lead partners and colleagues in early years settings is an essential requirement of the post in order to enhance consistency, share good practice and provide strategic leadership for the continuing success of the provision.
A masters degree and a teaching qualification (EYP/EYTS or QTS) are essential. You will be required to travel on a regular basis across the country to support trainees working in settings that may be at a distance from the University.
We provide an exciting, stimulating place to learn and work. Our standards of academic achievement are high, our environment is inspiring, and we embrace innovation in all that we do. With exceptional opportunities for staff development, our students are not the only ones who thrive here.
