Applications are sought for a committed Research Fellow to work with Professor David O’Hagan, Professor Carlos Penedo and Dr Georg Hähner conducting research for an EPSRC funded project ‘’Exploring the interactions of polar fluoroaliphatic motifs with biomolecules’’. The primary duties will be to carry out single-molecule fluorescence and FRET microscopy analysis and Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) experiments exploring the interactions of organofluorine motifs with biomolecules. The successful applicant will have (or have submitted) a PhD related to one or more of the following areas: surface chemistry, nucleic acid biophysics, spectroscopy and/or microscopy methods associated with studying biomolecules and interactions between them.   

The post is available for 2 years starting on the 1 May 2024 or as soon as possible thereafter.
