We are now seeking to appoint a Head of Department to lead the Department of Science and Technology, who will be responsible for planning and successfully implementing the provision of high quality courses and an excellent student experience within the department in accordance with the University’s objectives as outlined in its Strategic Plan.

The Head of Department of Science and Technology will oversee the BSc Computer Science with Combined Studies and work towards growing the provision of programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate level within the department. The Head of Department will report to the Deputy Provost for Faculty.

Our new Head of the Department of Science and Technology will hold a doctoral degree in a relevant discipline (for example Computer Science, Software Engineering) and will have a demonstratable commitment to Liberal Arts education and to the research, teaching and service dimensions of Richmond’s mission as a University.

It is desirable that the successful candidate will have experience in developing, improving and running undergraduate and/or postgraduate programmes, along with experience in successfully line managing and implementing organisational procedures relating to people.
