About the Role

A funded PDRA position is available to join a team led by Prof Susana Godinho to study how centrosome and microtubule alterations impact intracellular signalling in normal physiology and cancer. This project will combine 2-/3-D cultures models, cutting-edge imaging and proteomics to understand how centrosome/microtubule alterations impact cell physiology. About You

We are looking for a talented and motivated scientist to join our team who has already obtained a PhD (or is close to completion) in a relevant biological subject. Significant research laboratory experience in cell biology, tissue culture and microscopy are essential. Knowledge/experience in the field of centrosomes and/or microtubules would be an advantage. The post holder most be organized, have good communication and interpersonal skills. They will need to manage their time, performance and be able to solve complex problems.

About the School/Department/Institute

The Barts Cancer Institute (BCI) is one of six institutes within The Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry (FMD) BCI is internationally renowned in many areas of cancer research and it combines ground-breaking basic research with the expertise of clinicians and clinician scientists from the Centre for Experimental Cancer Medicine and the Barts NHS Trust to achieve improvements in cancer patient care. BCI is also a partner in the CRUK City of London Major Centre (together with UCL, Kings and the Francis Crick Institute) which is a Centre of Excellence in Biotherapeutics. BCI is committed in supporting and developing future cancer researchers through its extensive postgraduate training.
