The Department for Continuing Education, offering inspiring and transformational courses from one of the world’s oldest and largest communities of part-time learners worldwide, is seeking a driven and ambitious communications professional to support the development and delivery of internal communications. Our vision for the Department is to be a global centre of excellence for Lifelong Learning and in doing so, we aim to foster a vibrant community amongst members of staff who can deliver the best teaching, research and support for learning.

About the role

Together with the support functions (HR, Operations, Marketing, Finance, etc.) and the Senior Leadership Team in the Department, you will advise, produce and collaborate to create engaging content, ensure timely distribution, and measure how the communications land with your audiences.

You will have an affinity with aligning your tactical content creation to the broader strategic aims of the Department and these functions, and as such you need to have experience of:

  • Developing and delivering internal communications plans; measuring success and enhancing communications accordingly where required

You will be required to upload your CV and a supporting statement as part of your online application. Your supporting statement should list each of the essential and desirable selection criteria, as listed in the job description, and explain how you meet each one. CV’s alone will not be considered.

The closing date for applications is 12 noon on 1st March 2024.

Interviews will take place during week commencing 11th March 2024.

Bring your expertise to the University of Oxford and be a part of a community that values creativity, diversity, and excellence.
