Location: University of Hertfordshire Sports Village, Hatfield 

To drive performance with relevant multidisciplinary practitioners, teams and partners to provide holistic support.

Oversee and lead by example; the day to day running of the high performance S&C gym, delivery of S&C services to all athletes through the implementation of agreed operating procedures and professional standards, maintain and advance the S&C facility and equipment, management and development of staff and coaching team. 

To contribute to the integration and delivery between Performance Herts and the University of Hertfordshire’s Institute of Sport (IOS) and School of Health and Social Work (HSK) to ensure that theoretical and applied delivery of teaching and work experience at Performance Herts enhances the vocational relevance of teaching programmes. 

Become the technical figurehead for S&C at the University of Hertfordshire and continue to raise the profile of S&C at Performance Herts through quality relationships, networking, and presenting. 

Significant experience in the provision of S&C services to teams and individual athletes up to International level is essential for this role, experience performing needs analyses, planning and implementing diagnostics, monitoring systems and strategic planning of training based on the results. Line management experience and proven experience in presenting is also essential to this role. 

Excellent IT literacy, organized and a great communicator will be required.

You will need to be a knowledgeable, skilled, personable, self-motivated individual with excellent coaching, presentation and communication skills. You must be able to use your own initiative, be pro-active, work well under pressure and be able to work as part of a busy multidisciplinary team ensuring the entire team work collaboratively and effectively towards the vision and mission of the business.

A postgraduate degree in S&C, sports science, or related field and a UKSCA accreditation are essential for this role due to a requirement of the role being to lecture at postgraduate level.
