The University of Liverpool is seeking to appoint a Policy Research and Impact Officer to help support work across the University focused on evidence-based policy making. The post will support the translation of research activity into policy impact and will help facilitate the use of existing research and the exchange of knowledge between universities and policymakers at a range of scales. The post will be based within the Research Partnerships and Innovation Directorate and will involve close working with academic colleagues across all three Faculties, the Heseltine Institute for Public Policy, Practice and Place and Communications and Public Affairs team. The post is initially a fixed-term contract until July 2025, based on Liverpool campus with some hybrid working possible.
The post provides an exciting opportunity to play a unique part in delivering the University’s research and impact ambitions as outlined in our new Liverpool 2031 strategy, which takes the University up to its 150th anniversary. The Policy Research and Impact Officer will help to strengthen translational research capacity across the University to complement and further build knowledge exchange, impact and engagement infrastructures, policies and practices.
