Salary: £32,332 to £34,980 per annum, pro rata for hours worked (Grade 5)
Hours: Part Time
Contract Type: Fixed-Term/Contract
Placed On: 9th February 2024

Job Ref: 18162BR

An exciting new communications role has arisen to join the world’s first social science research park (SPARK). SPARK brings together Cardiff University’s internationally leading social science-led research centres and institutes alongside our partners spanning public, private and third sectors with a common focus on addressing societal challenges.

This role requires a proactive and creative individual, with excellent communication skills, digital skills and the ability to forge and maintain relationships, to encourage greater connectivity and collaboration amongst the SPARK community. This role sits in the core SPARK team and is part time 17.5 hours per week (0.5fte), fixed term for 1 year.

As a small team, we rely on teammates who are confident leading their work independently and who also enjoy collaborating with and supporting others. We value individual skillsets, encourage initiative and ideas.

This role is eligible to be offered on a blended working basis, meaning that as well as spending time working on campus you can also choose to spend some time working from another location, e.g., your home. However, it is expected that the majority of time will be spent on Campus.

We are happy to consider applications from Cardiff University staff on a secondment basis.

This post is part time (17.5 hours per week) and fixed term for 12 months.

Salary: £32,332 - £34,980 per annum, pro rata for hours worked (Grade 5)

Closing date: Friday, 1 March 2024

Please be aware that Cardiff University reserves the right to close this vacancy early should sufficient applications be received.

Cardiff University is committed to supporting and promoting equality and diversity and to creating an inclusive working environment. We believe this can be achieved through attracting, developing, and retaining a diverse range of staff from many different backgrounds who have the ambition to create a University which seeks to fulfil our social, cultural and economic obligation to Cardiff, Wales, and the world. In supporting our employees to achieve a balance between their work and their personal lives, we will also consider proposals for flexible working or job share arrangements.
