The Directorate of Education and Student Services at Queen’s University Belfast is currently seeking to appoint an exceptional candidate to the post of Global Opportunities Development Officer.

The postholder will manage the University Exchange and other international mobility programmes. They will be responsible for the successful development of opportunities which enable Queen’s students to undertake international mobility programmes to support their employability and maximise their personal and professional development.

The postholder will manage and monitor associated funding and compliance requirements and produce management information and associated analyses to ensure all targets are met and within timescales and budget.

The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following criteria:

  • Degree or equivalent plus significant relevant client facing service experience. Candidates without this qualification but demonstrate substantial relevant client facing service experience at appropriate level as outlined below will also be considered.
  • Relevant experience in managing international student mobility programmes.
  • Experience of managing budgets, calculation of grants and compliance requirements of international student mobility funding schemes, including the Turing Scheme.
  • Experience of managing staff, financial and information resources to provide high quality services to a diverse client base.
  • Experience of providing professional specialist advice service to staff and students within the HE sector about international mobility programmes.
  • Experience of analysing complex information and contributing towards decision making.
