The Research and Knowledge Exchange Directorate at the University of Cumbria is currently seeking an experienced RKE Systems and Data Manager. This is a particularly exciting time to join the Directorate as we are investing in several strategic programmes, bringing in additional capacity, expertise, and development opportunities.

Reporting to the Head of Research and Knowledge Exchange, the RKE Systems and Data Manager will be responsible for leading the development, procurement, implementation and operationalisation of business-critical systems that underpin the University’s ambitions to create an outstanding Research and Knowledge Exchange (RKE) support service. 

They will be responsible for collating and analysing data and providing accurate, insightful and regular management information and reports to the RKE Leadership team that will directly contribute to the ongoing development of strategy, service delivery and compliance agendas.

They will also coordinate and manage the operational aspects of research and knowledge exchange-related data submissions and returns (e.g. REF, KEF, HEBCIS etc), with responsibility for data integrity, data analysis and presentation, establishing and maintaining relevant databases to support research intelligence, and liaison with Institutes and Services to collate and report on relevant data through dashboards.
