The Role

To lead on the planning and delivery of events across Senate House’s portfolio of internal / external event spaces to agreed standard operating procedures. Feed in to associated project groups, collaborate with colleagues across the directorate and wider University to deliver top quality engaging events for our audiences.

  1. Accurately plan and execute events and ensure all details are in the booking system (KX), event folders and communicated to various service departments and stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of event.
  2. Preparation of client invoices, internal charges and financial statistics
  3. Coordinate event planning & debrief paperwork (briefing documents, event summaries etc), completing documents within agreed timeframes demonstrating compliance with standard operating procedures.
  4. To participate in regular events team meetings, operations meetings with clients, event service providers and wider university departments, to ensure effective communications and event coordination
  5. To liaise with members of the catering, portering, cleaning, security and AV teams, and others as appropriate,  to ensure adequate and appropriate levels of service for all events
  6. To actively follow and promote the University of London policies, including the University's Dignity at Work and Equal Opportunities Policy and actively promote these wherever possible.
  7. Awareness and observation of fire and health and safety regulations
  8. Any other duties consistent with both the grade and scope of the post.
