Salary: £38,165 to £44,722 per annum.
Hours: Full Time
Contract Type: Permanent
Placed On: 15th February 2024

About the Role
The SKETCH programme (Student Knowledge Exchange Through Community Hubs) is Queen Mary’s student knowledge exchange programme. It provides pro bono support to local individuals, businesses, entrepreneurs and social enterprises through activities such as workshops, training, advisory clinics and consultancy-style projects. These activities are delivered by Queen Mary students under the supervision of qualified professionals volunteering their time.

SKETCH brings together student knowledge exchange projects from across the university and is currently comprised of six ‘pillars’, including the QM Legal Advice CentreqLegal, the Student Consultancy ProjectqNomicsqTech and the QM Social Venture Fund. The programme aims to expand to provide more opportunities for students, and in particular to deliver more interdisciplinary projects so students across schools collaborate to meet a client’s needs.

This role has responsibility for the School of Business and Management’s SKETCH pillar and will work closely with the SKETCH Manager and the Academic Directors for the pillar. The role supports the Academic Directors to run interdisciplinary projects engaging the local community, such as Social Impact Projects, QMUL Project ReMAKE and more.

The post-holder will be a member of the Faculty Education team but will work within the School of Business and Management, responsible and accountable for managing relationships with external organisations and coordinating the pillar within the School. They will work closely with the SKETCH Manager, the School’s Academic Directors and the Business Development Team to help set up, coordinate and support the running of the SKETCH pillar.

In addition, the post-holder will provide a link between the School of Business and Management, the Faculty and other SKETCH pillars, to better enable interdisciplinary projects, impact evaluation and the sharing of best practice across schools. The post holder may also be involved in the establishment of SKETCH pillars across other Schools where necessary and appropriate.
