About the role

The post holder will report to the Head of Digital Education and Records and will manage a team of 5 learning technologists with responsibility for enhancing the delivery of the Faculty and Medical School’s world class education through the integration of educational technology into programme management and the creation of bespoke learning environments. They will liaise with a board range of key academic, professional services and information systems staff across UCL and its partner NHS Trusts.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Supporting and deputizing for the Head of Digital Education and Records.
  • Supporting the MBBS programme - including the development and enhancement of their VLE, Academic Student Record (ASR), Curriculum Map and online assessments.
  • Working with the Centre for International Medical Education Collaborations (CIMEC) on education technologies for external consultancy.

Appointment details:

  • The post is graded at GRADE 8, the annual salary for which ranges from £51,474 to £60,521 (including London Allowance).
  • The appointment is available from March 2024 and is a permanent position.

About you

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and innovative Digital Education and Records Manager with a track record of planning, implementing and managing effective digital education solutions within a professional or higher education environment. As well as bringing excellent technical skills and strong knowledge of learning systems and tools, the post-holder will have a passion for delivering a high-quality learning experience and an understanding of the pedagogical principles and approaches which underpin education and learning. They will have the ability to successfully manage and lead a team – identifying and supporting the learning and development needs of staff.
