 We are seeking to appoint a motivated and highly skilled individual to lead our excellent consultation skills teaching team. Currently, the consultation skills theme spans the five-year medical undergraduate curriculum (MB BS) and significantly contributes to Norwich Medical School students’ preparedness for practice and the delivery of patient cantered care. You will also contribute to consultation skills development and delivery in our proposed new Graduate Entry Medicine programme as well as future course developments which aligns with the NHS Long Term Workforce Plan.  

Applicants will be expected to possess:

  • Good first degree in a Health Profession, Psychology, Social Science
  • A PhD in a relevant subject area
  • First class communication and team-working skills
  • Proven track record in developing new teaching materials and an ability to embrace innovative collaborative curricular developments relating to our expanding undergraduate programmes
  • Demonstrable experience of consultation skills teaching using experiential teaching methods

This part-time (0.6 FTE) post is available on an indefinite basis.  The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and appointment will be subject to a criminal record check at Enhanced level from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
