About the role

The postholder will be responsible for creating and implementing a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy for Global Business School for Health.

They will bring their detailed knowledge and understanding of effective marketing and communications activities, an analytical approach, and their skills in developing and managing staff to shape a high performing team that will support the development of the School.

They will be expected to develop an understanding of the range of activities undertaken within the School, including those related to education, research and public engagement as well as the networks of individual stakeholders and partner organisations that are key to our work.

The role is a point of interface between the Global Business School for Health, the Faculty of Population Health Sciences marketing and communications team and a wider UCL network of CAM professionals.

About you

You will be educated to degree level or have equivalent professional experience and be qualified in Chartered Institute of Marketing or Institute of Practitioners of Advertising or have substantial experience in the theory and practical implementation of marketing and communications.

You will have strong communications, computer literacy and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex issues in a concise manner to all colleagues. You will be able to think creatively and be innovative whilst also being able to prioritise in a busy work environment.

Being able to demonstrate proficiency in developing and delivering marketing, comms and campaigns for leading brands and have a strong understanding of the digital landscape and the relationships between Search Engine Optimisation, paid activity, content and social media is also essential. You will also have knowledge of the higher education landscape, policies, and procedures and an understanding of the impact of Competition and Markets Authority advice and guidance on student recruitment communications, GDPR (2018) and the Accessibility Requirements for Public Sector Websites and Applications (2019).

You will be experienced in delivering a variety of communication materials (offline and digital) from concept to delivery within tight deadlines, be able to develop and adjust digital marketing activities including through Google AdWords and experience in staff, budget and project management and development.
