We are now looking for a Senior Work Psychologist to join our Risk and Human Factors Group in Buxton on a full-time, permanent basis. Flexible working, job share and part-time hours are also available.

The Role

As a Senior Work Psychologist, you will work alongside a team of experts to educate others on mental wellbeing in the workplace.

Following a period of supported on-boarding, you will lead technical contributions to projects related to workplace stress, mental health and safety leadership.

Demonstrating high standards in the application of research methods, you will constructively challenge existing approaches and lead technical contributions to support regulatory colleagues.

You will also act as an expert witness during prosecutions.

Additionally, you will provide expert advice to stakeholders on key workplace issues, including:

- The management of work-related stress and mental health
- Safety leadership
- Job design
- The design of work environments
- Organisational development and change

About You

To be considered as a Senior Work Psychologist, you will need:

- To be a registered Occupational Psychologist with the HCPC, or be a Chartered member of the BPS or be able to show evidence of working towards Chartership and/or Membership
- Strong skills in psychology and human-factors-related research methods, including some practical experience of facilitating focus groups and interviews in different settings
- Experience of designing, planning and delivering high quality projects safely to time and cost
- Experience of writing clear, concise reports
- The willingness to undertake public speaking engagements
- The completion of an MSc (or equivalent) or higher in occupational psychology, or equivalent experience
- A full, valid driving licence
