We are seeking to recruit a dynamic Lecturer of Psychology to join an enthusiastic and dynamic team with BPS accredited programmes and contemporary approaches to teaching and learning. The successful applicants will be passionate about teaching and learning and able to draw upon existing experience of teaching and research. There may also be the opportunity to undertake course leadership.

Job Details

This post will mainly contribute to the BSc Psychology programme and also to the MSc programmes where there is appropriate specialism and opportunity. You will be expected to have a wide knowledge of psychology with specialist knowledge in at least two of the following areas cognitive psychology, biological psychology, neuropsychology and research methods. This knowledge will allow you to contribute and convene a range of modules, ensuring their quality against national and University benchmarks.

This post is located in the Department of Psychology and Pedagogic Sciences which houses programmes in three Subject Groups: Psychology, Sport Pedagogy and Football and Performance Analysis. The Psychology Subject Group incorporates the following taught programmes: BSc Psychology (BPS accredited), Psychology of Mental Health (MSc) and the online MSc Psychology Conversion (subject to BPS accreditation – due Spring 2022). The BSc Psychology also supports the BPS accredited BSc Sport Psychology programme and we are looking to develop other specialist UG and PG psychology programmes. We are looking to reinforce St Mary’s reputation as a centre for excellence in psychology related scholarship and research.
