ABOUT THE ROLE

Do you have the prioritisation and communication skills to support our Senior Leadership Team? Are you a proactive horizon-scanner, who enjoys working within a dynamic and fast-paced C-suite level environment?

This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with Swansea University’s Senior Leadership Team (SLT), providing high quality and well-informed operational and executive support across their diverse portfolios.

Together, the SLT are responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction across our University’s key academic and operational functions. Their portfolios are critical to the sustainability of our University and the delivery of our ambitious aims in respect of our research, our teaching and learning and our civic mission.

Working with colleagues across our University, the postholder will directly support members of the SLT with the management and delivery of their busy and complex portfolios, while overseeing high-quality administrative support, including diary and correspondence management within their offices.

The postholder will join a collaborative Executive Support Team within the Vice-Chancellor’s Office, and will play a key role in supporting the SLT to deliver their immediate and longer-term objectives. Working closely with the Head of the Vice-Chancellor’s Office, the postholder will be the first point of contact for SLT members in respect of all aspects of their portfolios and the day-to-day running of their offices, diaries and correspondence.

This role will be critical in supporting our Senior Leadership Team to deliver Swansea University’s ambitious strategic aims, by providing a professional service, shaped and informed by the priorities and values of our University and the broader Higher Education sector.

This position will be based at Singleton and Bay Campuses as required. The role-holder will be expected to work flexibly, prioritising on-campus working in line with the needs of the Senior Leadership Team and the wider Executive Support Team.
