The Talent 25 Research Programme:

Talent 25 is a long-term action research programme and a partnership between Arts Council England and De Montfort University. Its vision is to explore the vital points of intervention in a child's life, which ensures that all individuals have a wide range of cultural experiences and opportunities to unearth their creative talent. The project is to commence its next phase of activities in April 2024, and we are looking for a motivated, engaging, and outgoing individual with a commitment to supporting the engagement and participation of the Talent 25 children and their families in the research activities.

Role

The primary purpose of this role is to provide efficient and effective administrative support for our developing research programme. The post holder must be able to use their initiative, work as part of a team, and have the ability to cope in a challenging environment. The post-holder will work closely with the Principal Investigator and Research Programme Manager. A high level of confidentiality is also required. This role is part time (18.5 hours per week) therefore, the salary shown will be pro-rata’d.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for an individual with experience in managing administrative processes and working independently with minimal supervision. We are especially interested in candidates with excellent organisational skills, including sound time management and a proven ability to multi-task, prioritise their workload, cope under pressure, and meet tight deadlines. Suitable candidates will have the ability to work cooperatively and sustainably with colleagues, external partners and diverse families. Moreover, the candidate will be a people-focused, positive thinker and self-motivator who is able to take personal responsibility. They will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work as an effective team member, as well as their own initiative and ability to establish strong working relationships with research participants, the Talent 25 team, and stakeholders. The successful candidate will require a satisfactory DBS check.
