To pursue and establish an independent and high-quality knowledge exchange programme/s, including securing knowledge exchange contracts and funding; manage knowledge exchange programmes to ensure delivery of associated objectives; where appropriate, to manage a knowledge exchange team (staff and students); to engage as appropriate in relevant research and teaching activities; and to carry out administrative tasks assigned as required.

The Fraser of Allander Institute is seeking an experienced analyst to contribute to and project manage a new Knowledge Exchange project in collaboration with The Health Foundation. This project represents a significant investment in building additional capacity to improve the evidence base and implementation of evidence in policy and practice with regards to tackling a range of inequalities that underpin health inequalities in Scotland.

As a Knowledge Exchange Fellow, you will engage as an independent knowledge exchange professional to project manage and contribute to this programme of work. You will write up reports, often as lead author, for external dissemination, and further communicate findings for additional dissemination as appropriate.

To be considered for the role, you will have a good honours degree and PhD / higher degree (or equivalent professional experience) in appropriate discipline. You will have a personal track record in carrying out knowledge exchange projects and in developing high quality knowledge exchange proposals, including playing a leading role in attracting knowledge exchange funding. The successful candidate will have knowledge exchange interests which are consistent with the strategic direction of the Department/School and will have the ability to plan and organise knowledge exchange programmes, and to pull together teams of academic professional staff and others as appropriate, to ensure project delivery for the client and benefits to the University.
