Applications are invited for one academic position as a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science, University of Hertfordshire within the Data Science academic subject Group.
Main duties and responsibilities
The post holder will contribute to teaching and learning activities including; delivering high quality teaching, learning and assessment to our students at all levels. As a lecturer, the postholder will be expected to have sufficient experience to lead modules and develop teaching and assessment materials in the advertised areas.
The postholder will also provide pastoral and academic support for home and international students. The Lecturer will play an important role as part of a team incorporating the Head of Department or Subject Group Leader, programme leader, module leaders, the professional, administrative and technical staff (if applicable), the Dean of School and the Associate Deans of School. The post holder will also be expected to contribute to teaching in mainstream areas of Computer Science, and modules with particularly large groups of students.
Skills and experience required
You will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and have demonstrable experience of teaching and lecturing the computer science subjects of the advertised specialism at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. You will have demonstratable experience and expertise in all or some of the following areas:
Qualifications required
You will be educated with a minimum of an undergraduate degree or equivalent Level 6 qualification in relevant discipline, or equivalent experience.
