Role Description
The University of York International Pathway College is looking to recruit an experienced teacher to lead our level 3 (A-level/BTEC standard) Electronics and Robotics modules. Our electronics module aims to prepare students who wish to pursue later undergraduate programmes with the core concepts that might be studied on an A-level/BTEC electronics programme. The robotics module is highly practical in nature and delivers the key ideas in computer programming and electronics using the Lego Mindstorms and Arduino platforms. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative teacher to have considerable input into the design and delivery of two innovative and flexible modules.
Skills, Experience & Qualification needed
Department
The University of York International Pathway College (IPC) takes students from around the world and prepares them for undergraduate and postgraduate study at the University of York. As our students are largely non-native English speakers and have a wide range of academic backgrounds, we have a team of language staff who provide language teaching alongside our delivery of subject content. The IPC offers Foundation Certificate qualifications that lead to progression onto York undergraduate programmes as well as Pre-Masters qualifications that lead to postgraduate programmes. We are based in the award-winning Piazza building on the University of York East Campus and our science programmes benefit from a suite of purpose-built laboratories equipped with a comprehensive set of recently purchased equipment.
Interview date: To be confirmed.
