The Post
We are seeking a suitably qualified applicant for the post of Lecturer in primary education, contributing to programmes including the Initial Teacher Education Programme as well as other postgraduate taught Education programmes. The successful candidate will be passionate about learning and teaching and will have the potential to teach across the entire Initial Teacher Education programme at Stirling. The post holder will engage in individual and collaborative research, which aligns to the strategic direction of the University.
The post holder will have significant expertise and experience in primary education and will be registered as a primary teacher with the General Teaching Council for Scotland, or eligible for full registration. They will contribute to research across the Education Division and the Faculty of Social Sciences. Notably, there are opportunities to collaborate with researchers focusing on curriculum, professional learning and social justice, including through the Stirling Centre for Research into Curriculum Making.
