The opportunity:
This is an opportunity to become a member of a dynamic teaching team for science communication/public engagement at the University of Edinburgh. You will be involved in teaching, assessment, dissertation supervision and marking, primarily for on-campus MScs Science Communication and Public Engagement. You may also be required to assist in additional teaching for undergraduate science communication courses/units on-campus. Please note that teaching for the on-campus programmes and undergraduate programmes is in person, face to face in Edinburgh. A PhD or MSc in Science Communication or related social science discipline is essential. We are also looking for someone with qualitative and/or quantitative social research skills. It would be preferable to have some experience of teaching in Higher Education. IT expertise is required along with good interpersonal skills and a high degree of professionalism. The part-time and job share posts require flexibility around weekly working hours across semesters i.e. an annualised contract.
This post is full-time (35 hours per week), however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns.
