About the Department:
The Research and Knowledge Exchange Directorate is a growing team that manages the whole lifecycle of research and knowledge exchange activities at SOAS, from supporting researchers to applying for funding to generating research impact and commercialising new knowledge. It is an exciting time to join the SOAS Research and Knowledge Exchange Directorate as SOAS’ Research and Knowledge Exchange Strategy commits us to ensuring SOAS claims a place amongst research-intensive universities internationally.
About the Role
SOAS is seeking to appoint to a new Research Information and Systems Manager role within the growing Research Culture and Policy team. The postholder will be responsible for the development of research information systems and reporting capabilities. This will involve making recommendations for improvements to existing systems, gathering requirements and developing business cases for new systems. The post is suited to someone with prior experience of managing research information and systems and can identify new and innovative methods of data visualisation and analysis. Working closely with IT you will be able to anticipate future compliance and data management requirements and be cognisant of threats to information security and integrity of RKE data. You will join a small and supportive team and have excellent opportunities for networking and career development
