The Department of Psychology has a fantastic opportunity for a Postgraduate Programmes Officer (fixed term) to join our excellent team and help us create a vibrant student experience.

This exciting position will support both postgraduate research students and students on our joint postgraduate programmes, working with Economics, Computer Science and WBS to support our students to through their journey with us.

The post holder will be responsible for overseeing academic progression requirements, arranging postgraduate events, managing the submission of student work, reviewing attendance monitoring, maintaining student records, and supporting student engagement events including occasional Open Days. They will be the first point of contact for both postgraduate taught and postgraduate research students and will be responsible for providing advice, information and support to them.

About you:

The successful candidate will have a good standard of general education (A Level or equivalent) and will have experience of working as part of a team in a busy customer-focused administrative environment. Excellent communication and organisation skills coupled with the ability to pay attention to detail are essential, as is the ability to demonstrate a good understanding of administrative processes. Experience of working in a student-facing role within Higher Education would be advantageous.
