The University of Northampton is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Lecturer/Senior Lecturer to join our expanding physiotherapy team. This is an exciting time to join the University as we look to expand our physiotherapy portfolio to include undergraduate and apprenticeship routes in addition to our existing pre-registration masters.
The post will include leading and teaching current modules as well as contributing to the development of new and future ones. The University of Northampton’s teaching ethos is underpinned by a contemporary and research informed approach, utilising active blended learning to enhance student engagement and develop the critical problem-solving skills required in current and future practice.
The post requires effective communication across the faculty to develop teaching and learning that embeds inter professional collaboration, service user engagement and simulation-based learning within our modern campus environment.
You will be supported by an existing programme team and be in a position to provide learners with expert subject knowledge as well as supportive pastoral advice. You will have opportunities to engage with practice partners and clinical educators through the post, to ensure an ongoing high quality placement experience for students across a variety of sectors and settings.

About You
You must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and have evidence of active continuing professional development.
You will have experience in physiotherapy education and possess a contemporary, research informed and forward-thinking approach to physiotherapy practice. This includes having experience of providing supervision to dissertation students, ongoing pastoral student support and involvement in student recruitment events.
You will have an awareness of the quality assurance processes involved in physiotherapy education and how to implement good practice and monitor these.
A high level of organisation and prioritisation skills are essential to enable effective time management of tasks within different work streams to required deadlines. You will utilise effective communication skills to work collaboratively across a variety of professional teams.
