SETU provides a broad range and scope of academic offerings in the Health Sciences. In accordance with national and regional skills needs, SETU is developing a programme in Optometry with the support of industry stakeholders. SETU is now seeking to recruit a senior academic to act as the programme development lead to progress this exciting initiative.
The Optometry Programme Development Lead will have relevant experience in the discipline/profession and appropriate experience in developing and/or implementing higher education programmes for professional body accreditation. The successful candidate will have appropriate academic, practice and supervisory experience to enable the validation of a new degree in Optometry at SETU and the subsequent accreditation with CORU (Register for Health and Social Care Professionals). The appointee will report to the Head of School.
