About the Role
In addition to a competitive base salary of up to £32,982 per annum, you’ll receive a market supplement of £2,000 per annum.
The Building Controls Team are looking to expand and require a highly skilled BEMS Technician to join our highly motivated team. You will be responsible for the successful operation, continued development, and analysis of the University’s Building Energy Management System (BEMS) to the agreed KPI.
The servicing of building energy management systems in accordance with a particular design and specification. The Building Controls Technician is responsible for ensuring the energy management system continues being safe, technically correct and efficient.
The BEMS controls a wide variety of complex equipment and life critical alarms throughout the University Estate such as environmental systems, lifts, heating, ventilation equipment that form part of the services infrastructure.
This is an exciting time for the University of Warwick as we are preparing for a large-scale expansion and development on the Estate with the focus on SMART buildings and Technologies.

You will have completed a recognised engineering building services apprenticeship/ training programme or equivalent in a HVAC or Electrical discipline. With the ability to carry out installation, planned and predictive maintenance to BEMS and associated electrical plant/systems.
You will need to be an autonomous self-starter with excellent organisational skills. The role will require you to work alongside other skilled trades and specialist contractors to ensure the high level of service as expected by our customers.
You will also require an excellent understanding of Health & Safety and operational practices.
