The Philanthropy Officer (Legacy and Planned Giving) is an exciting new role focused on securing philanthropic gifts through the development and implementation of distinct Legacy and Planned Giving programmes. This role will require practices of mass engagement with philanthropy and individual cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of Legacy and Planned gifts from multiple constituencies, including alumni, staff, and supporters of the University.
The postholder will be responsible for embedding fundraising and supporter engagement within the University’s culture, facilitating an increase in Legacy and Planned Giving. This includes the organisation, administration, and management of all Legacy and Planned Giving fundraising campaigns, and positioning In Memory Giving through mass engagement.
The role will act as champion of Legacy and Planned Giving for the whole Development and Alumni Engagement department, creating and refining a Legacy and Planned Giving toolkit and positioning Legacy and Planned Giving as a key part of the supporter journey.
