About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our innovative Student Wellbeing Team. We’re advertising four posts which bridge our Academic Faculties and central Wellbeing Services with the aim of providing expert consultation and improved communication between central support services and the Schools. These roles are new, and you will be joining us at a time when you can influence the role’s development to ensure maximum effectiveness. The University has recently signed up to the Mental Health Charter and these proactive roles will provide an embedded source of expertise in student mental health, within the Academic Faculties to help progress our associated strategic and operational aims.
About you
You will have some kind of a mental health or social care qualification and/or equivalent experience. Some experience of managing mental health crises is desirable, as is a calm and resilient approach to high pressure situations. You will have the ability and confidence to communicate effectively with and train all levels of professional and academic staff in academic Schools whilst maintaining professional boundaries with both students and staff. You will need the confidence to work independently and also to support other team members. Ideally, you will have some experience and/or understanding of working within Higher Education. A meticulous and disciplined approach to administration is required to maintain our case management systems.
