Lecturer of Policing

The University of Salford has made a strategic decision to develop Policing as part of its portfolio of professional subject areas.

There are four entry routes into Policing, which are validated by the College of Policing. University of Salford delivers three of these routes, including a Professional Policing Degree (PPD). We are also working in partnership with Greater Manchester Police (GMP) to deliver Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA) and Degree Holder Entry Programme (DHEP).

We have the ambition to become a regional, national and international leader in Policing through professional education, development, research and enterprise. As a result, we are a fast-paced environment, looking to develop and strengthen our existing team of Policing Academics.

We are looking for colleagues who share our excitement and passion for teaching and will be committed to providing the highest quality student experience. This is an opportunity to influence the education and training of a major Police force. Your input and expertise will help us assist students in realising their ambitions.

As well as having a strong relationship with GMP colleagues who are co-located on campus, we have excellent simulation facilities, and an exciting campus masterplan including new buildings, new facilities, and new ways of thinking.

Please apply for this position to be considered straight away!

Or, if you have any questions about the position, please contact Neil Hulme, Head of Policing - N.J.Hulme@salford.ac.uk

There are 3 vacancies available for this role.

Please note that the majority of current teaching activity takes place on campus.

Interviews for this opportunity are expected to take place on the week commencing the 22/04.
