We have an exciting opportunity for a qualitative researcher to join the Rapid Research Evaluation and Appraisal Lab (RREAL) at UCL and support work we are carrying out for the Central London Patient Safety Research Collaboration (CL-PSRC).

The team is committed to the translation of research findings into changes in policy and practice and has an interest in methodological innovation.

About the role

We are seeking a part-time (0.5 FTE) Research Assistant with an interest in rapid qualitative research, process evaluations, and patient safety. The post holder will work with the Rapid Research Evaluation and Appraisal Lab (RREAL) on the Central London Patient Safety Research Collaboration (CL PSRC) and will be based in the Department of Targeted Intervention at Charles Bell House.

This role is available immediately to 31 March 2028, in the first instance.
• Salary is £37,332 inclusive of London Allowance per annum pro rata.
• The role is part-time at 0.5 FTE or 18.25 hours per week.

About you

We are looking for a researcher with:

• Master’s degree in anthropology, psychology, global health, medical science, public health, social science, or equivalent experience.
• Experience of conducting research using qualitative research.
• Experience of stakeholder engagement activity in relation to research.
• Background in health-related topics.
• Experience in being part of a research team.
Experience in contributing to research reports, publications, or research dissertations.
