We are looking for a Graduate School Programme Administrator which will be based in our Graduate School Office team. The Graduate School Office (GSO) provides advice and support for colleagues and doctoral students, ensuring that they receive an excellent level of customer service, support, and information. The post is based in Central London at our Wells Street site, but the department's smart working arrangements also provide opportunities to work from home.  

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated individual, who has experience of working in administrative positions, ideally within a higher education setting. They will be competent in the use of data records systems and Microsoft Office, be highly organised with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and be experienced in working effectively with a range of colleagues and stakeholders. The ideal candidate for this post will have strong oral and written skills, good attention to detail, and a commitment to providing excellent levels of service to doctoral students and Graduate School colleagues.

The Graduate School Programme Administrator will be the first point of contact for queries to the GSO, monitoring and responding to enquiries in a timely and effective manner.  The postholder will be expected to maintain accurate records within the Virtual Research Environment (VRE) and the University’s student records system. They will maintain records of student casework, support the Annual Progression Review (APR) processes, and act as clerk to a range of Board and Committee meetings. The postholder will support processes related to the payment of studentships, deal with queries related to fees, and play an active role in the enrolment, induction, and re-enrolment of doctoral students.
