Job Description
The Faculty of Life Sciences and Education is looking for an enthusiastic Senior Lecturer, experienced and qualified in Counselling Psychology, to contribute to our Professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology and to support the continued development of the Therapeutic Studies Subject area. The successful applicant will be registered with the British Psychological Society and teach at postgraduate level, they will:
This is an opportunity to make an important contribution to professional doctorate level training in South Wales, joining a highly successful programme and skilled team. This course is one of a range of psychotherapeutic programmes at the university and is housed in purpose built teaching and clinical accommodation at Newport City Campus.
The successful candidate will be an experienced counselling psychologist, registered with the British Psychological Society (BPS). Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to excellence in learning, teaching, research and professional practice, and will preferably have previous experience of leadership in practice and teaching in Higher or Further Education.
You will be expected to use your clinical skills in teaching, group work and supervision and play a key role in the development of the course and its continued success in terms of student experience and outcomes.
This position is based at Newport Campus of the University of South Wales.
