Salary: £32,587 per annum, 35 hours per week
Hours: Full Time
Contract Type: Permanent
Placed On: 5th April 2024

The University of Buckingham has a unique atmosphere, unlike that of any other higher educational institution. Despite being the UK’s smallest university and the only independent university to hold a Royal Charter, Buckingham has staff from over 25 countries, making it a truly distinctive work environment.  Whichever of our locations you find yourself working in, you will be sure to feel a part of our friendly community.  Our size enables us to foster a personalised, supportive, inclusive and collaborative environment, with lots of opportunity for development, something which we are very proud of.

The Corporate and Professional Services departments are the cornerstone of the University. They each provide essential and valuable support to both each other and the Academic departments.

Reporting to the Faculty Registrar, this role is responsible for the faculty’s quality assurance and compliance matters, ensuring compliance with the Office for Students Conditions of Registration, UK Quality Code for Higher Education, PSRB Regulatory Requirements, Consumer Protection Law, and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) legislation.

The post holder will play a key role in designing, developing, and delivering a range of supporting materials, geared to support and advise all Faculty staff members in relation to compliance matters. They will be the main liaison with all External examiners for the faculty to ensure their review and reports are understood and implemented in each Exam cycle, alongside programme and module design.

The role will work with the Central Quality Manager to effectively plan, support the design and development of key compliance frameworks, strategies, policies, and procedures that align to the overall University Strategic plan. The role will support the communication and successful engagement plans of all new compliance matters, with key stakeholders within the Professional Services and Faculty Academic teams.

The role will effectively project manage new process, procedures, and initiatives; as well as accreditation and audit activities to ensure ongoing successful accreditation of Programmes, as required within the faculty.
