About Us
King’s Climate & Sustainability (KCS) is a university-wide initiative established in 2023 to step up our response to the challenge of climate emergency and global sustainability, and to accelerate and connect research, education and operations across King’s. With an ambition to become a net zero institution, King’s has already made progress to embed sustainability into our operations. We are uniquely positioned to amplify, connect and scale impactful research, education and action, build new connections between fields of study – including technological, socio-economic, legal, geopolitical – and create meaningful external partnerships to deliver strong, distinctive and visible contributions to the challenge of achieving just and fair transitions to sustainability.
About the Role
The Business Support Officer will play a key role in supporting the Assistant Principal (Climate & Sustainability), Programme Director and the work of the King’s Climate & Sustainability Delivery Team through providing efficient business support. This includes EA support and diary management, secretariat support for committees and meetings, co-ordinating budgets, managing the team’s estates and facilities matters, and providing support for internal and external events.
We are looking for someone organised and proactive, who is keen to support the important work undertaken by the Climate & Sustainability Delivery Team. The successful candidate will enjoy using their initiative and working with colleagues to get things done.
This is a full-time post (35 hours per week) but we are happy to consider requests for part-time working (at 0.8 FTE and above) and/or flexible hours for this role.
You will be offered a fixed term contract until 31 July 2026.
This is a hybrid role, with, on average, 2 days a week in the office. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate requests for fully remote working.
