The role
PolicyBristol team is seeking a senior policy engagement professional to join us as the PolicyBristol Manager. By connecting researchers with policymakers, we are a team of experts ensuring that the University’s world class research base informs policy solutions.
Managing a large Research England Policy Support Fund, we nurture exciting and meaningful projects across all disciplines which address complex and interconnected policy challenges, whether they are experienced at local, regional, national, or international level. For example, these include tackling net zero, renewable energy, energy security, social mobility, housing affordability, climate resilience, water security, health inequalities, the growing mental health crisis and infectious disease modelling.
The PolicyBristol Manager will advance the policy impact of the University’s research with a focus on local and regional policy engagement. They will develop relationships and facilitate knowledge exchange with local and regional policy relevant partners.
If you have extensive experience in knowledge brokering, expertise in policy engagement and an understanding of the policy landscape this role could be for you.
What will you be doing?
In this role you will continue to develop our strategy for local and regional policy engagement, collaborating with local authorities in co-creating Areas of Research Interest (ARIs). You will be a key point of contact for academics and policy partners at all levels of seniority, brokering areas of mutual interest.
