The King’s Business School Careers team support our students’ career planning, application processes and professional development throughout their studies. About the role
This position is a 12-month contract and both part-time and full-time applicants will be considered.
The position will deliver an excellent quality careers provision for our postgraduate students who are mainly early careers jobseekers and often international students, exploring one of their first significant professional career steps. The position focuses predominantly on finance programmes and will also support other programmes from our MSc offering.
The position will engage with students, offering high quality advice and guidance through 1:1 consultations, small group sessions and large workshops and will be responsible for the creation of materials, signposting to opportunities and further Careers access and the delivery of high-quality materials.
Our Senior Careers Consultants strive for the progression of Career Education in our student learning journey, and this position will liaise with and support academic colleagues as we continue to embed careers within the curriculum and evolve the provision to be present throughout every student’s journey. King’s Business School looks to develop our students with knowledge, experience, skills and attributes for future success, and Careers contributes to the student’s development across all these areas.
This position suits someone who is strategically minded, data driven and passionate about preparing and supporting young people for the world of work and all this entails. They can work across multiple student groups and demographics with equality, accessibility and quality being forefront of their provision.
Candidates would be required to work in a hybrid role expect to work both on campus and remotely for this role. There is a requirement for 2 days per week on campus with additional days being optional to candidate preference.
