This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Research Associate with experience in applied health research to join an interdisciplinary team working on an NIHR-funded project "Changing the trajectories of mental health difficulties in Norfolk and Suffolk: a research-priority-setting project with patients, the public, clinicians, policymakers, and stakeholders."
This project is a collaboration between the University of East Anglia and the Centre for Society & Mental Health, King’s College London.
The overarching aim of this project is to define the mental health research priorities for our unique coastal, rural community in conjunction with stakeholders, the public, and mental health experts.

This research is led by Dr Sheri Oduola, a psychiatric epidemiologist with extensive experience in social and health inequalities in diverse populations. Professor Joni Holmes, a leading expert in transdiagnostic approaches to children and young people's mental health and neurodevelopmental needs co-leads the project. Other team members bring further expertise in epidemiology, psychiatry, qualitative methods, primary care, clinical psychology, lived experience, and implementation science.
You will report to Dr Sheri Oduola and will be provided support, guidance and training by project team members. In addition, you will work closely with colleagues at the Centre for Society and Mental Health, King’s College London and exploit external links with regional and national bodies such as government agencies, schools, colleges, professional bodies, businesses, and industry as appropriate to the subject discipline and School and/or University strategy.
This part-time 0.8 FTE (minimum 0.6 FTE will be considered) post is available from 3 June 2024 on a fixed-term basis for 12 months.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and appointment will be subject to a criminal record check at Enhanced level from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
