The School of Education, Health and Science is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced registered healthcare professional to join the BSc (Hons) Paramedic Science team at the University of Gloucestershire. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and ambitious clinician keen to develop and advance their career in higher education.

We welcome applications from registered paramedics and suitably experienced professionals from other relevant healthcare disciplines who can demonstrate the clinical knowledge and experience required to contribute effectively to Paramedic Science education.

This permanent post offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the School of Education, Health and Science's strategic ambition to deliver a sustainable health and social care workforce for Gloucestershire and beyond.

About You

You may already be working within higher education, or you may be an experienced healthcare professional looking to take the next step into academic practice. Your background may be in paramedic practice or another relevant area of healthcare, such as emergency, urgent or acute care.

Most importantly, you will bring:

  • Current registration with an appropriate UK healthcare professional regulatory body, such as the HCPC or NMC.
  • Contemporary clinical experience relevant to Paramedic Science education and practice.
  • A passion for education and healthcare workforce development.
  • An enthusiasm for clinical skills and simulation-based education.
  • The ability to engage and inspire students and work effectively with colleagues and healthcare partners.

This post requires an Enhanced DBS check and current registration with an appropriate UK healthcare professional regulatory body.
