We are looking for a postdoctoral Research Fellow with expertise in energy and society, especially co-ordination of demand-side flexibility and the governance of energy and climate policy, to join the UKRI-funded Electric Power Innovation for a Carbon-free Society (EPICS) global centre.
The Opportunity:
You will conduct research into the conditions under which energy policymakers, regulators, and grid operators can accelerate the delivery of demand-side flexibility, including consideration of equity impacts. You will also work with UK and global EPICS researchers and contribute to integrating social science into the centre.
This position offers an experienced researcher the opportunity to join a new global research centre to undertake research on the policy and governance challenges of integrating demand-side flexibility into decarbonised energy grids.
This post is fixed term for 36 months from 1 July 2024.
This post is advertised as full-time (35 hours per week), however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.
