About the Role

Applications are invited for a Clinical Research Fellow in Liver Disease within Barts Liver Centre, at Barts and the London School of Medicine.  Based in the Blizard Institute, the successful candidate will join Professor Kennedy’s group and have the opportunity to contribute to this highly productive group and support world leading reseach in viral liver disease. The post will specifically support clinical trials services aiding hepatitis B virus (HBV) and hepatitis Delta virus (HDV) studies.

About You

We are looking for a highly-motivated and driven clinician (with GMC registration) who can develop and contribute to new research ideas and has the ambition and potential to lead the delivery of this liver tissue work.  Experience in viral liver disease is essential as well as endoscopy and fibroscan (desirable) We have a collaborative ethos and we have active links with groups across London, the UK and Europe.  This project will involve working within a large team and working closely with collaborators to develop and optimize approaches in the study of liver tissue, therefore excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

About the Blizard Institute

The Blizard Institute was established in 2003 and is one of six Institutes within the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, QMUL. The Institute comprises approximately 350 staff based in four academic Centres and one Public Engagement Centre, and supports a combined total of c750 postgraduate research and taught students. The Institute aims to deliver excellence in all aspects of research, teaching and clinical service
