About the role
The Science Library Customer Service Team are responsible for providing help and support for our students and visitors and for ensuring that the library environment is safe and in good order.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the provision and development of excellent customer service across the Science Library, monitoring and responding to customer surveys and feedback. The role will involve you line managing a team of library assistants and delivering staff training. Duties will also include timetabling, and responding to a wide range of enquires in person and online. You will also support the Science Library Customer Service Manager by attending meetings and managing the service in their absence. This is a 0.6 FTE role salary £42,099 per annum pro rata.
About you
We are looking for candidates who have significant experience and skills: strong customer service ethos with experience of working in a library or related setting, user experience or customer service-focused role. You will be expected to have excellent IT, communication line management and interpersonal skills. This role is an on-campus role and is not suitable for remote working.
